“While the Honiara community appreciate the ongoing SIPA reform, it is foolish to see the exit gate closed at night,” a taxi driver who wants to remain anonymous raised his concern.
He said, normally traffic was busy at nights especially when ships go down to Western province as such the exit gate should had remained open to allow the flow of traffic.
He claimed, last Saturday night there were many vehicles queuing up and some about to get into accidents because of the poor arrangement by SIPA.
The taxi driver said, it was surprising to see more officers manning the entry gate.
“Why did they have to leave the exit gate and concentrate on the entry gate?
“There will be accidents at night because of the queuing up of traffic especially on Saturdays and Sundays when ships normally travel to the Western Province.
The taxi driver urged the SIPA to do the right thing than just concentrate to collect money at the entry gate.
