NCMM marks one year anniversary

26 February 2014

LOCAL Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) group, the Niuleni Community Music Ministry (NCMM) on Monday night marked its first anniversary of work and ministering to Gods people.

The group which comprised of men, women and children from Niuleni in North Malaita, but currently working and residing in Honiara, was formed last year.

The vision is to minister to their own people of the Fishing village and Lau Valley in Central Honiara through messages in songs in their local dialect.

Speaking at the celebrations, NCMM president, Helen Molea highlighted the group’s achievements throughout the year (2013) some of which included, the completion of their first ever audio CD, tour of Malaita, baptism of souls the group had helped and many more.

“2013 has indeed been a blessed year not only for the group but most of all for the many souls we have helped touched and change through our musical ministry.

“Not only were they souls from our own people of Niuleni but also others who have come forward to claim Jesus as their saviour through our messages in songs,” Ms Molea said.

She added that NCMM has seen the blessings and the achievements that through God was made possible, therefore would want to continue on with God’s commission.

“This year will be another great year for the group as we have a lot of programs to look forward to.

“We will also continue to work with our people of Fishing village and Lau valley respectively, especially those who have left Church.

“We will try and do everything possible to help bring them back into the fold and welcoming arms of God,” Ms Molea said.

One of the highlights for the group this month was performing at different occasions during the visit by General Conference President of the Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) Church Pr Ted Wilson and his delegation to the country fortnight ago.

Meanwhile the group will next week start off their new project, the filming of their first DVD.
