POB online banking signs up with Our Telekom

Pan Oceanic Bank recently signed the air-time topup deal with Our Telekom  which now enables both POB and Our Telekom customers to topup through their smartphones or computers via POB Online Banking.

“Our Telekom is privileged to participate in this intiative with POB. We believe that with the change in mobile phone technology with increasing reach and data capability, more and more of our customers can access this service and do their online banking wherever and whenever they have to. We congratulate POB for enhancing the Airtime topup facility to all the people of Solomon Islands through the POB Online Banking Mobile App,” said Loyley Ngira, CEO, Our Telekom.

This Web-based service also enables POB Customers  to do their banking online, either via their mobile phones or from their desktops or laptops, outside of the bank. Customers can view statements, Pay Bills, Do Airtime Topup, Pay Other bank’s customers, do Bulk transfers view their foreign currency accounts, make International Payments, and create and manage LC’s. Secondly, POB also offers via the Mobile App service the following Mobile Notification services to all Mobile users:

·        Receive Alerts from third parties (SIBC, Solomon Airlines, etc)

·        Receive Notifications on new products and other offerings.

·        View your profile details

Furthermore, this new platform allows Utility Service Providers, Retail and Wholesale Businesses to get payments from customers on the spot, into their accounts through the POB Bill Pay method. This also does away with the need for EFTPOS machines and reduces the ‘waiting for credit payments and reconciling periods’ for the businesses.

“We are pleased to now be able to bring the convenience of banking to the homes and offices of everyone in the Solomon Islands through this Online Banking Service. It is different as the service allows customers to access their linked accounts via the POB online banking service. Users of this service will need to have access to the Internet. For Mobile users who use an Android or iOS phone, the App is free and downloadable from Google play and Apple stores. It is also user friendly,” said Mr. Nihal Kekulawala, CEO of Pan Oceanic Bank.
