Gouna Hill get connected

Gouna Hill in West Kwaio was the latest community to be connected to the breeze mobile network following the launching of its 40 meter tower on Monday.

Its one of the 13 new towers to be launched by Our Telekom around Malaita province in the coming days.

The launching which took place at Mao’a community high school was witnessed by hundreds of people including students and teachers.

The launching has brought smiles and great excitement to the community.

At the launching Our Telekom officers also answered some of the questions raised by the people in the area.

They also conduct promotional sales of mobile phones and give-away.

Assistance manager of Our Telekom Company Jimmy Nange encouraged the landowners and people living in the area to look after the tower because of the importance of the service.

He said the service will benefit the school and the community at larges to access the mobile service and internet services.

Mr Nange said the protection and safety of this new tower is in the hands of you the landowners, men and women of Gouna Hill communities and along the other surroundings villages in West Kwaio.”  

Following the launching villages along the Mao’a and Gouna Hill Communities can now access the service.
