A visit by the Solomon Star early this week to the site saw construction workers busy doing cement plastering, installing window frames, ladders and doors. Painting will follow shortly to brighten up the building.

The Honiara city clerk Charles Kelly confirmed that the building is nearing its completion.

Electrical wiring is also expected to be done to the building once most of the major external work are completed.

Mr Kelly said Honiara city council has launched an appeal to donor agencies through the ministry of health to support them with equipment.

He said the dental clinic is expected to be completed before the year ends.

The multimillion dollar project started last year and will consist of the dental clinic and a police post.
