Major sponsors, Top Entertainment together with music promoter DJ Victor Lopez while confirming the Rastafarian's tour here also expressed excitement to be hosting a third international artist - as tickets were made available since Friday last week.
“Three live shows within three months, wow! We are so excited to bring another one as we promised,” Top Entertainment’s Shelton Pio expressed.
“For the public it’s a very short notice, but we kept our word as the sponsors, another global musician to our shores.
“Tickets now are on sale and despite the short notice we are expecting a great turn out at the ragamuffin party show,” Shelton said.
Also dubbed as the ‘Original Fireman’, currently he is on a tour performing in Melbourne, Sydney in Australia and Vanuatu.
“I have the reggae singer on all these tours, so I again reached out to Top Entertainment to see if we could do a live show for Honiara. Well this artist I feel will appeal more to the fans as it’s a well-known reggae artist. The ‘World A Reggae Music’ singer with his deep Rastafarian connection has been a well-known figure besides ‘roots ganja advocators and poets’, Ini Kamoze, Damian Marley aka Junior Gong, Buju Banton, Sizzla Kolonjeh, Capleton to name a few where local reggae followers in the country have been following the music tradition since the 80s to 2000.
The singer/actor is a devoted member of the Rastafarian movement since a teenager, grew up in Clark’s town of Trelawny, Jamaica.
Influenced by fellow Jamaicans, the legendary Bob Marley and Peter Tosh, you can definitely hear it in his vocal delivery and revolutionary attitude.
He also featured international artist the likes of, Haitian/American, ‘Sweetest Girl’ singer Wyclef Jean and iconic American rapper Snoop Dogg.
Tickets are currently out on sale at the Fast Link service shop Kukum Highway, pre-sold $150, VIP $300 (Meet & Greet) while during the show at the gate $250.
