Rukumana vows to deliver

THE newly appointed Football Youth Development Officer (YDO) Eddie Rukumana vows do his best and deliver his responsibilities and YDO.

Rukumana uttered this during his first press conference with the local media yesterday shortly after receiving his official appointment as YDO for the Solomon Islands Football Federation (SIFF) on Monday this week.

“I know the task ahead will not be easy but I am prepared to face the challenge,’’ he said.

He said his past experiences in dealing with youths as a coach for his local club as well as national duties with our youth teams will help him so much in his new task.

“I am very happy to take up my new task as it in line with what I did since  entering into my coaching career,’’ he said.

He insists his overall objectives are to go down to the Provincial Football Associations (PFAs) and help them with youth football developments.

“I will also ensure coaching course programs must reach our provincial levels,” he expressed.

He added by bring the coaching course to grass root levels will help football in the country to prosper.

Rukumana had a wealth of experience as being a former national player and now in a progress to attain his OFC B license certificate.

Meanwhile, some of the Rukumana’s products were Himson Teleda who had been shaped and stirred at the Hana FC before being selected into the national team.

The current national U-16 midfielder, Maxwell Keana’s flight into national youth team was also made possible under the assistance of Rukumana.
