SOLOMON Islands young football player Clenty Lamupio has returned to England to continue with his scholarship with Star Football Academy.

The young player left over the weekend and has teamed up with the rest of the three Solomon Islands players who are currently at the academy.

Lamupio is a Royals Football Academy player who is one of the first of five Royals players who joined Stars Academy last year.

After several months he returned home along with Absolom Wawane to sort out their visas.

Wawane currently plays for Malaita Kingz FC.

Royals Academy is the first football academy in the country to send players to England.

They are aiming to send more players in the coming months.

Currently there are four Royals players at the Star Football Academy.

Meanwhile, football fans and supporters wished all Royals players the best in their football training abroad and hope to one day bring Solomon Islands to the world’s top football level of competition.
