Dear Editor - It is people like Dr. Jimmy Rodgers that this country needs as national leaders given the challenges it is facing in these times.

I believe that leaders such as Dr. Rodgers would be more useful to the home country from within rather than from outside the country even say from the perspective of the Pacific Islands Forum.

Our Government should therefore be doing its utmost best to try and attract such high quality people as Dr. Rodgers to return home and make that difference.

I often hoped that Solomon Islanders with excellent standings internationally overseas return home and be concerned about the need to maintain our country on the path most beneficial to all its citizens even if only momentarily.

As far as I am concerned, this is what our Prime Minister and government should be more concerned about. Not to support Solomon Islanders the country needs, to stay away from the Solomons as it were.
