YWCA Kindergarten children learn from the Solomon Airlines after successfully carrying out their field trip at the Henderson International Airport on Wednesday 27th of August.
The purpose of the field trip is to allow children to witness and explore life in an aircraft as part of their study on the different types of transports.
YWCA Kindergarten Supervisor Jennifer Sanga explained that transport is one of the themes children have studied in classroom therefore children actually going out, exploring what they learn in theory is vital.
Children during the field trip witness a landing aircraft and went through the boarding process in the International Airport. Inside the aircraft they were educated on the different facilities inside the plane and how it operates.
“This is an incredible experience for these little children, and for sure they are witnessing and learning something new and vital,” said Ms Sanga.
Solomon Airlines Marketing Officer, David Keru expressed that Solomon Airlines is excited to host the children as part of strengthening their community relationship.
Mr Keru said that such visit is important to children as they might undertake careers at the aviation in the future thus introducing and educating them on such information at an early age is beneficial to them.
Ms Sanga applauded Solomon Airlines for allowing YWCA Kindergarten to carry out their field trip at the International Airport and mostly privilege for the children to board the learn from the Air Bus A320.
“YWCA Kindergarten is looking forward to work in partnership with Solomon Airlines in the future as part of strengthening community partnership through educating young children,” the supervisor concluded.
