A man who indecently assaulted a married woman at Gela, Central Province last year has indicated a guilty plea.
The accused who was a married man himself was initially charged with one count of attempted rape but the charge was later reduced to indecent assault.
The charge was reduced after the Crown found no evidence to sustain the attempted rape charge.
The allegation occurred in September last year.
The accused will be entering his plea this Friday in the Honiara Magistrate Court.
His lawyer, Henry Kausimae of Public Solicitor’s Office had sought the short adjournment to finalise the summary of facts before his client is ready to take his plea.
Crown Prosecutor Sirepu Ramosaea is representing the State.
