TWENTY-TWO recently graduated medical students are still waiting for flight arrangements to return home from Cuba.
According to reports reaching the Solomon Star, the students are waiting on the Ministry of Education to arrange and confirm their return flights.
The students graduated in July in a ceremony attended by Prime Minister Gordon Darcy Lilo and Education minister Dick Ha’amori.
The students have been promised jobs on their return.
But their wait have been longer than expected and they are reportedly agitated to know the reason for the delay.
In an email to the Solomon Star, Solomon Islands ambassador to Cuba, Simeon Bouro said that the students are still waiting on word from the National Training Unit of the Ministry of Education.
Comments are being sought from the ministry.
