QUEEN Elizabeth II has send deepest condolences to the Government and people of Solomon Islands following the devastating floods that killed at least 23 people and left thousands homeless.
In a message to the Governor General Sir Frank Kabui on Monday 7th April, the Queen said she was deeply saddened to learn of the devastating floods that have affected Solomon Islands last week.
“Prince Philip joins me in sending heartfelt condolences to the friends and families of those who died and our good wishes to all those involved in the emergency response and the reconstruction process.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this difficult time,” the Queen said in her message.
The Queen is the Head of State in Solomon Islands and is represented by the Governor General.
