The regional ambition of a sustainable, affordable and efficient energy and transport services requires a multi-disciplinary approach and collaboration at the highest level among various stakeholders.
Such synergies supplement national efforts through strategic partnerships and pooling of resources.
The Secretariat of the Pacific Community (SPC) will be convening the 2nd joint Pacific regional meeting for energy and transport (aviation and maritime) ministers in Nadi, Fiji from 31 March – 04 April 2014.
With the theme, ‘Sustainable Energy and Transport Services for All in the Pacific’, the meeting aims to bring to the attention of ministers the latest international and regional developments in the energy and transport sector that affect member countries.
It aims to propose interventions and solutions that will support the countries in their quest for achieving sustainable development through accessible, affordable, efficient, safe and secure energy and transport services.
