THE University of the South Pacific, Solomon Islands (USPSI) campus in Honiara is expecting to enrol 4500 students for thefirst semester this year.
This means it’s a huge increase from previous years intake.
USPSI campus administrative co-ordinator Layson Leve revealed yesterday that they are expecting an increase of enrolment around 4500 this firstsemester.
“This increase is due to increase number of students each year including increase awareness by students to further their studies as contributing factors.”
He said that registration will commence next week, Monday 9th to Sunday 15th February 2015.
Meanwhile, Leve urges school leavers or students that, if you have a plan or goal that you think going through USP can bring you closer to it then come and talk to us during the sessions organised. (see separate story).
“Get to know our programs in our vocational programs, bridging courses, College of Foundation courses and other Faculties.
“If your plans are aligned with these programs then we can assist you,” said Leve.
USPSI over the years has shown a steady increase every year in its enrolment.
In 2009 it has recorded 2,060 students; in 2010 -2,253 students, 2011 -2,684 students; 2012 -3,091 students; 2013 -3,701 students and last year (2014) 4,044 students.
Its understood online registration is still open for students who wish to register while face to face registration commences next week.
