VISALE Parish in northwest Guadalcanal is looking forward to celebrate two big events this year.
Solomon Star stringer John Toki said these events were announced during Visale Parish Pastoral council meeting over the weekend.
The meeting was held for two days at Visale community high school building.
He said an ordinance of a priest will take place at Louna village Russell, Central province and Visale parish to mark 110 years anniversary.
“These events will all happen in June but dates are yet to be confirm,” he said.
The 110 years anniversary is to mark the arrival of Catholic Church in Visale in 1904.
Toki said preparation will take place within the three months period.
The council meeting also highlighted programmes and budget for 2014.
More than 40 people within Visale station attended this council meeting which is headed by parish pastoral council chairman Jeffery Rapasia and parish priest Fr Peter Hou Hou.
