SOLOMON Telekom Company Limited (Our Telekom) has paid dividend of SBD $45million to its majority shareholder, the Solomon Islands National Provident Fund (SINPF) last week.
This dividend payment will directly benefit the more than 200,000 members of SINPF, who represent workers and families across the Solomon Islands.
This is good news for SINPF members as the fund is expected to announce its annual interest credit rating at the end of this month.
Baoro Laxton Koraua, Chairman of Our Telekom in a statement said, Our Telekom is excited to support Solomon Islanders this latest payout.
“Our Telekom is proud to contribute to the financial security of Solomon Islanders through this dividend,” said Mr Koraua.
“When we perform well, the benefits flow directly to SINPF members, helping to support their savings and retirement.”
The dividend reflects Our Telekom’s strong performance in 2024 and its ongoing efforts to expand and improve telecommunications services nationwide.
By investing in infrastructure and digital services, Our Telekom is helping to connect communities, create opportunities, and support the country’s social and economic growth.
SINPF Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Michael Wate added: “This dividend is not just a number – it represents Solomon Islands.
“As the Majority shareholder, SINPF invests on behalf of its members and today’s payment is a tangible return that supports their future security.”
