FOLLOWING the mass resignation on Monday led by Finance Minister Manasseh Sogavare and some of the top ministers, here is the latest photo that emerged of a likely formation.
This group based on the photo taken before parliament this morning have 25 Members of Parliament (MPS) majority. This means GNUT has only 24, given only 49 MPs are currently serving in parliament following the passing of the Late Moses Garu, former MP for West Guadalcanal.
A by-election is due in June to elect a new seating MP.
Since the resignation of the ministers on Monday, there have been talks with the Opposition Group.
And its evident here as captured here where both MP Sogavare are teaming up with the Opposition Group led by Opposition Leader Matthew Wale and Independent Group led by Peter Kenilorea Junior.
The mover of the motion Gordon Darcy Lilo, MP for Central Honiara is also with the group.
This group has three former Prime Ministers (PM) and two former Deputy Prime Ministers (DPM).
With the Motion of No Confidence maturing Monday next week, the motion will be moved Tuesday next week.
Parliament Speaker has confirmed receiving the motion.
In Parliament on Tuesday morning, Sogavare and his team are sitting in the Opposition Bench.
