A Community Policing Awareness event was successfully organized by the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) on Saturday, June 7th, the Mbumburu/Vasakena community in West Honiara.
The program, which ran from 3pm to 6pm was initiated following requests from the community to increase awareness on various law enforcement topics.
Six police officers participated in the event, delivering talks on critical issues, including domestic and family violence, illicit drugs such as marijuana, kwaso, copen, and the new drug known as “power drug.”
Community members actively engaged with the officers, raising numerous questions and concerns about crime and law and order in the area.
The RSIPF team received positive feedback from attendees for their informative presentations.
The event concluded with light refreshments, fostering a sense of community and collaboration between the residents and law enforcement.
