SOLOMON Cup 2025 has a new champions following the finals on Friday.
Following the final clash Makira Ulawa was crowned the king after Malaita Eagles were handed three unanswered goals at the National Stadium.
Makira Ulawa got two of its goals in the first half goals and another unanswered one in the final stanza— in front of the packed National Stadium.
Earlier, Guadalcanal Hornet booked the third place after a huge 7-1 win over Western Tomoko.
Makia Ulawa staged the biggest comeback in this year’s Solomon Cup when they came from 2-0 nil behind in final 20 minutes in their semi-final against Guadalcanal to win 4-2.
Makira was the first runners up in the 2022 finals and this year, they managed to secure the much deserved fans.
A lot of fans have supported Makira since day one of competition given the level of play.
Back in Makira many of their supporters were celebrating after the final whistle.
