A NUMBER of officers from Correctional Services of Solomon Islands (CSSI) and Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) have been caught engaged in illegal gambling over the weekend.
This was during the Operation Zero Tolerance mounted by RSIPF officers, a statement issued by Police Media Unit said.
Operation (Ops) Commander Mr. Simpson Pogeava confirmed that the officers have disregard their code of conduct.
“There were officers from Correctional Services of Solomon Islands (CSSI), and police officers who were found involved in illegal gambling were escorted to the station for further dealings.
“Operation Zero Tolerance is not only targeted for the public involved in illegal activities but also disciplines officers who disregard their code of conduct,” Commander Pogeava said.
Operation Zero Tolerance is an operation plan to clean up Honiara as we get ready to welcome our dignitaries from other countries for the Pacific Island Forum summit in September 2025.
