The newly constructed Fisheries office complex for Choiseul Provincial Government (CPG) is progressing well with work currently on phase three.
The project iss funded by the Provincial Governance Strengthening Programme (PGSP) through its rehabilitation programme.
It is constructed by LS building construction, a locally owned firm.
In an interview, Mr Livingstone Sike, the Manager of LS building construction, he stated that work is now on phase three.
This means work is expected for completion within two weeks, he added.
“With stage three completes, we’ll advance to stage four our final project phase,” he said.
He stated that while construction is currently on schedule, the project completion depends entirely on weather conditions.
“During rainy weather our work is limited to half-day operations, resulting in construction delays,” he explained.
Sike also noted that the project had already been delayed by one month before construction began due to logistical challenges.
“Despite the delay, we are currently on track and satisfied with the significant progress made so far,”
However, once completed, the complex will accommodate the Provincial Fisheries Office and help enhance service delivery to both the province and rural areas.
