The Solomon Islands Men’s National Floorball Team is set to make its first-ever appearance in the qualifications for the 2026 Men’s World Floorball Championship, scheduled for December 2026 in Tampere, Finland.
Five qualification events around the world will determine the 15 teams to join hosts Finland at next year’s championship.
The Asia-Oceania Floorball Confederation (AOFC) qualifiers will take place in Wellington, New Zealand, from January 13–19, 2026.
The International Floorball Federation (IFF) has released the qualification groups, placing 10 AOFC teams into Group F and Group G.
Group F: Solomon Islands, Philippines, Singapore, China, and hosts New Zealand.
Group G: Thailand, Australia, Japan, Korea, and Hong Kong.
A total of four AOFC spots will be available for next year’s championship.
Founded in 2022, the Floorball Federation of Solomon Islands (FFSI) has grown rapidly, with more than 150 participants now involved in the sport nationwide.
