A total of 14 local coaches from the Solomon Islands Tennis Federation (SITF) have successfully completed a play tennis accreditation course recently.
SITF confirmed that a total of 14 local coaches have successfully undergone the course and have added another valuable certificate to their coaching carrier.
According to the SITF, the course facilitators and tutors were very happy with the results from the assessments and believe that there is a bright bright future for SI Tennis.
“The local coaches and participants were indeed learnt a lot from day, as they learn the safety of the court and the importance of measuring the court,” the statement said.
Another participant said, that the course helped her to think more critically and taught us to be quick on a fit to adjust our coaching method.
On the other hand, another coach said, the course helped her to think fast and adjust when teaching children.
“This course has helped us to apply it to the coaching I already do.”
Meanwhile, Coach Czarina – the ITF Tutor who led the course with the Pacific’s ITF Development Officer said that she believes that the future of SI Tennis is in the hands of the coaches working together, sharing the knowledge with players and kids. Everyone will benefit, better players and happier more successful coaches.
She further thanked everyone who made this a successful training and to all the the coaches who gave their commitment to the course.
“Together we can make SI Tennis a successful and viable pathway for Solomon Island players,” the statement said.
