Most of the Pacific Island Forum (PIF) Leaders have touched down at the Munda International Airport at 10am this morning.
A chartered Solomon Airlines A320 aircraft transported all the leaders. The delegation left Honiara International Airport at 9:30am this morning and arrived on schedule following the 30 minutes flight.
In Munda the weather is bit cloudy with slight drizzle.
Resident of Munda and nearby communities are all excited to welcome the leaders.
A brief welcome is expected upon their arrival at the terminal where Premier Billy Veo and his executive along with Prime Minister Jeremiah Manele will be present.
At Lambete, the local crafts women and men are also displaying their crafts along the roadside.
Both Prime Minister Jeremiah Manele, and Prime Minister of Papua New Guinea, James Marape, have arrived earlier in the morning at around 8am on a private jet.
From the terminal the leaders will be escorted to the Agnes Lodge for a brief stopover.
From Munda, the high level delegation will be escorted to Marina Hotel in Noro for the retreat behind closed doors.
