Rising Fustal star Jayroll Patty who scooped the Man of the Match (MOTM) award in the final showdown against Tuvali on Wednesday in Fiji has expressed pride for being recognised as the player of the final match.
He described the feeling as a proud moment for his sporting journey.
The young lad is part of the Solomon Islands National Futsal Team, Kurukuru that claimed victory in the Oceania after an outstanding performance last week in Suva.
Patty was recognised after a phenomenal performance in the final match against Tuvalu.
Patty told Star Sport in an online interview after the victory saying; he was super proud and happy to be name the man of the match.
“Indeed I am super proud and happy to be able to name the man of the match in such an international tournament”, Patty told star sport.
He added that this achievement motivates him to keep discipline, stay humbled and keep fit for upcoming tournaments.
“This man of the match award has motivates me to keep discipline, stay humble and keep fit for upcoming tournaments”, Patty added.
When asked him about his feeling for scoring his first 3 international goals, Patty said it is such a different feeling he have never experience before.
He said to score infront of fully parked court when representing your country is something that will forever grateful for.
“And yes, I am super proud of myself to have marked my name with 3 international goals through out the tournament”, Patty said.
The Solomon Islands 18 years old Jayroll Patty has marked his name in the international stage with a perfect display through out the tournament scoring in 3 matches of the 4 matches played.
He scored his first goal in the Kurukuru 5-2 victory against Fiji, score his second against Vanutu-the only goal for the Kurukuru side in their 1 all draw and score scored his third goal in the Kurukuru 7-0 victory over Tuvalu.
Further to Patty’s international Futsal debut, he has won his first ever trophy with the Kurukuru after they become the OFC Men’s Futsal Cup 2025 champions.
Star sport understand that at just 18 years old Patty has already proved that he will be a star for the Solomon Islands in the future.
Many futsal fans have acknowledged congratulated the young man for his outstanding performance and exceptional skills which got everyone talking about his football talent.
