Dear Editor – As a concerned student, I wish to share my view on the recent reshuffle of Finance Minister Hon. Harry Kuma.
His removal, after halting funding for the Surface Wharfs project, raises governance concerns.
While Cabinet unity matters, the public deserves assurance that financial decisions remain independent and transparent.
The new Finance Minister must uphold accountability and fiscal discipline, ensuring national projects are justified and credible.
Without explanation, the reshuffle risks appearing politically driven, weakening public trust and economic confidence.
