Dear Editor – I am writing this concerning that our communities and rural areas are facing climate displacement that is becoming one of the greatest challenges facing our region.
Rising seas, strong storms, and prolonged droughts are forcing families to abandon their homes, threatening not only their safety but also our, cultures and traditions.
At the same point, pollution is making matters worse. Plastic wastes, oil spills, and the careless dumping of rubbish are damaging our oceans and land, putting lives and marine ecosystem at risk.
If nothing is done, future generation may be left without a safe environment to live in.
I call on leaders, and communities to take stronger actions against climate change and pollution. Protect our environment is the only way to secure the future of our people.
