Honiara Table Tennis Association (HTTA) and Smash Down Barriers (SDB) continues to roll-out its table tennis program to communities around Honiara.
Early this week SDB and HTTA reach out and rollout the program to Koa Hill community and Mamanawata cummunity.
During the session they give opportunity for the young kids who always forgotten in every sport a taste of table tennis practise session and talk story about the basic of the sport.
HTTA and SDB expressed excitement after their sessions with the two communities stating that they are happy to interact with the kids.
“It’s with great excitement as we interact and build friendship with the kid. We look forward for another session with fun learning as we build friendship and Lear skills of the sport.”
The SDB program has already reach many communitites around Honiara and will continue to roll out the program as they are targeting to reach out every communities in Honiara before they will roll out the program to provinces.
Star Sport understand that the smash down barriers table tennis program is a program that promotes inclusive and accessibility and provides opportunity for young girls and boys, and individual with disability to develop their skills, build confidence and connect others through sport.
