Dear Editor – I am writing in response to the issue of corruption as highlighted by the Transparency Solomon Island.
The corrupted activities of Wantok system, misusing of funds for individual interests, bribing and unequal distribution of resources that will benefit the people has greatly affected vulnerable groups, local communities, public and private sector resulting in weak governance.
This is a significant issue of concern and an urgent call to all political leaders to ensure they emphasized transparency, political integrity with the civil society in order to safeguard the interest of all people.
