Three additional towers under the Solomon Islands National Broadband Infrastructure Project (SINBIP) were successfully launched in Marovo Constituency, Western Province over the weekend.
The new sites M55, M58, and R53 are now fully operational, providing vital network coverage to the surrounding communities.
Ongoing support from the Government of the People’s Republic of China, together with China Harbour Engineering SI Company Limited and Huawei, in collaboration with the Ministry of Communication and Aviation, telecommunication services in Solomon Islands has significantly expanded connectivity, linking the remote areas to the world.
These new towers provide reliable internet access to remote areas, enabling residents to stay connected with family and friends across the country and beyond.
This development represents an important step toward bridging the digital divide and improving communication infrastructure nationwide, benefiting the daily lives of people in Western Province while advancing the country’s broader connectivity goals.
