Government had reengaged two permanent secretaries for another term.
They Mr Riley Mesepitu and Ms Karen Galokale.
In a statement issued by the Government Communication Unit (GCU) on Wednesday 29th October, the Governor General, His Excellency Sir David Tiva Kapu has sworn in Mr. Riley Mesepitu and Mrs. Karen Galokale as Permanent Secretaries, formalizing their reappointments.
“Mesepitu has been reappointed as Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Commerce, Industry, Labour and Immigration, a position he has held for the past eight years.
“Galokale has been reappointed as Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Police, National Security and Correctional Services, a role she has also held for eight years,” the statement said.
During the swearing-in ceremony at Government House, the Governor General congratulated the two top officials and reminded them of their duties as senior public servants.
Both officials expressed their gratitude for the trust placed in them and pledged to serve the government to the best of their abilities.
