A public appeal has been launched to help raise funds for Angelina Parua, a young woman from North East Guadalcanal currently receiving treatment at the National Referral Hospital (NRH).
Angelina has been diagnosed with Rheumatic Heart Disease and Severe Mitral Stenosis, a serious heart condition that requires an urgent Mitral Valve Replacement Surgery overseas.
Medical experts have confirmed that this procedure cannot be performed locally due to limited facilities and equipment in the country.
The estimated cost of the surgery and associated medical expenses is approximately SBD $200,000.
Family members and volunteers are appealing to the public for financial support to help save Angelina’s life.
Contributions can be made via M-Selen to the number +677 7398443.
For further information or assistance, the volunteer team can be contacted on +677 7949119 or +677 7320821.
Supporters are encouraged to come together and help give Angelina the chance to live a healthy, fulfilling life.
“Giving is the greatest act of grace,” the volunteer team said in their appeal.
