A Vanuatu Church of Christ Mission team left Honiara on Saturday, November 1st 2025 after successfully completed a two-week mission outreach program in Malango and Suta Associations, Central Guadalcanal.
The team’s departure was attended by SSEC National Mission Coordinator, church leaders, including chief Elders of Malango and Suta Associations, pastors, community leaders, chiefs, women and members of both Associations.
The mission team departed Henderson Airport at 2pm, arriving at Port Vila around 4 pm.
They will remain in Port Vila for two days before traveling by ship to Santo, arriving on Friday.
Church leaders and community members gathered at Henderson Airport to bid farewell to the team.
Assistant Chief Elder of Malango Association, Pr. Titus Giana, expressed gratitude to the visiting team on behalf of the Malango and Suta Associations.
“On behalf of the SSEC National Mission coordinator, Mr. Hezekiah Taku, the chief elders of Malango and Suta Associations, women, Christians, children and the entire community, I would like to express our heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to each and every member of the team.

Thank you for blessing us with God’s word, powerful testimonies, and impactful ministerial activities during your stay in our communities.
“We have learned valuable lessons from your team and grown spiritually through fellowship we shared.”
The departure was an emotional moment, with the team shedding tears as they shook hands with well-wishers.
A larger number of attendees showed community appreciation by shaking hands with the team as they moved from outside the international terminal area to the waiting lounge.
Prayers were said for God’s blessing and protection on the team as they travelled back.
The attendance of the church leaders and community members at the airport indicates a strong bond of relationship and ministry impact achieved within the two-week mission in Malango and Suta.
Ms. Tiza Nathan, Malango Women Coordinator, played a role in facilitating the mission.
Part of the team arrived at the airport via private transports arranged by their respective local churches while others travelled using public transports owned by individuals as part of their service to God.
Some team members were personally met by their local churches they served under.
