“On behalf of the Solomon Islands Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SICCI) and the Australia Pacific Islands Business Council (APIBC), we extend our sincere appreciation for the confirmation of Hon. Prime Minister Jeremiah Manele’s attendance.
“His participation underscores the strong partnership between Government and the private sector in advancing Solomon Islands’ economic growth.
“We are honoured to host the Prime Minister as Keynote Speaker, alongside accompanying Ministers and distinguished guests, at the upcoming 14th Australia–Solomon Islands Business Forum,’’ the joint SICCI and APIBC statement said.
The 14th ASIBF is scheduled to take place from Monday 17 November to Wednesday 19 November 2025 at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre in Brisbane, Australia.
Prime Minister Manele will be delivering the Government of Solomon Islands’ keynote address, alongside the Honourable Pat Conroy, Australian Minister for Pacific Islands Affairs, who will deliver the key note address on behalf of the Australian Government.
Organised by the Australia Pacific Islands Business Council (APIBC) in partnership with SICCI, the 14th ASIB forum aims to grow trade, attract investment and partnerships between Solomon Islands and Australia.
PM Manele will be accompanied by other senior GNUT Ministers for this Forum. Representatives from Solomon Islands private sector and SOEs are also confirmed to attend this forum.
The SICCI executive board and members acknowledges PM Manele and the Government for National Unity and Transformation (GNUT) for its continuous commitment towards:
– Improving the landscape for private sector growth;
– Pushing legislation designed to stimulate investment and job creation;
– Accelerating investments in key economic infrastructure such as green energy projects;
– Diversifying the economy by promoting key sectors such as agriculture, fisheries, tourism, and manufacturing;
– Strengthening international trading partnerships and initiate free trade policy discussions to explore market opportunities; and
– The overall vision to achieve a prosperous and inclusive society, ensuring that the private sector’s growth benefits all citizens through job creation and income generation.
The Solomon Islands and Australia continue to build on their long-standing relationship, and the 14th ASIBF represents a timely platform for deeper private-sector engagement and strategic collaboration.
