With the festive season now fast approaching Solomon Airlines has had announced additional flights for its travellers.
In a statement Solomon Airlines had advised that to meet the needs of end of year holidaymakers and those planning Christmas visits to family and friends in Australia, Solomon Islands and Vanuatu, 20 extra flights have been added.
The Airline statement said, it has added 20 extra flights in addition to regular scheduled services subject to regulatory approvals, to accommodate strong demand from travel agents and travellers seeking peak season seats to and from Honiara and Munda in Solomon Islands, Espiritu Santo and Port Vila in Vanuatu and Brisbane Australia.
“Already we are seeing demand increase from holiday and VFR travellers, expats, corporates and seasonal workers planning end of year breaks,” said John Wopereis, Solomon Airlines Commercial Manager.
“We have carefully planned the extra capacity around demand patterns adding more flights on days that we know people want to travel,” he said.
Solomon Airlines is a full-service carrier. International fares include complimentary inflight meals, drinks, and a generous checked baggage allowance of 30kg in Economy plus a 7kg cabin baggage. The airline’s expanded schedule appears on its website from today, including additional flights assigned to the following routes:
Brisbane to Honiara and Munda, Solomon Islands
- In addition to regular scheduled services 4 times weekly, extra flights will operate in both directions between Brisbane, Honiara and Munda on Tuesday 23rd December 2025 and Sunday 4th January 2026.
Brisbane to Espiritu Santo, Vanuatu
- Additional flights will operate in both directions between Brisbane and Espiritu Santo, on Saturday 27th December 2025 and Saturday 3rdJanuary 2026, in addition to the airline’s regular weekly flight on Thursdays.
Port Vila to Honiara, Solomon Islands
- Extra flights will operate between Port Vila and Honiara every Tuesday between 23rd December 2025 and 13thJanuary 2026, and between Honiara and Port Vila on Wednesdays between 24th December 2025 and 14th January 2026.
