With the withdrawal of New Caledonia from this year’s tournament, the tournaent will only Fixture 5 teams.
Therefore, in men’s competition, group A comprises of only two team which is Solomon Islands and PNG Gold while group B features Fiji, Vanuatu and PNG Red.
Now by looking at the fixtures, a win in the opening match is an advantage for securing a semi final spot.
Meanwhile, in women’s category, the Solomon Islands senior women’s will play their opening match against the hosts PNG Red this Friday before their final group match against Fiji on Sunday 17th.
