SUVA, Fiji -The Chairman of the Solomon Islands Public Service Commission (PSC) Mr. Milner Tozaka is leading a senior delegation to the Pacific Public Service Leaders Conference (Fono) being held in Suva, Fiji, from 17–20 November 2025.
The annual Fono brings together Public Service Commissions and senior public sector leaders from across the Pacific to discuss shared challenges, exchange best practices, and explore collective approaches to strengthening public administration in the region.
This year’s theme, “Winds of Change: Reimagining Public Service in the Blue Pacific Continent,” highlights the growing need for innovative, resilient, and culturally grounded public service systems.
The official programme was opened yesterday by the Acting Prime Minister of Fiji and Minister for Lands and Mineral Resources, Hon. Filimoni Vosarogo, who emphasised the importance of collective problem-solving across the Blue Pacific.
He reminded leaders that although each nation faces its own governance challenges, coming together through talanoa fosters unity, resilience, and shared purpose.
Accompanying the PSC Chairman to the conference are Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of the Public Service, Mr. Luke Cheka; Director of the Institute of Public Administration and Management (IPAM), Mr. Solomon Manea; and Assistant Secretary of the Public Service Commission, Ms. Sandra Maezama.
Participation costs for the Solomon Islands delegation are funded by the New Zealand Public Service Fale.
