The Gizo Kolombangara Constituency Cup held at Ringi in Kolombangara Western Province continued to deliver thrilling football action this week with teams from across the constituency battling for crucial points.
In one of the high-scoring encounters, North Kolombangara defeated Gizo Coastal 5–3 during the first match on Monday at full time in an entertaining match that kept supporters on their feet.
Meanwhile, the clash between Gizo Town and Central Kolombangara on Tuesday ended in a goalless draw, with both sides failing to break the deadlock despite several scoring opportunities.
In another closely contested match, South Kolombangara edged past Central Gizo with a narrow 2–1 victory, securing an important win in the tournament.
The Gizo Kolombangara Constituency Cup continues to attract strong community support, highlighting local talent and promoting unity through sport across the constituency.
All the runner up teams for quarter finals are expected to be prepared yesterday.
The Grand final match will be held on Friday.
