Members of the Solomon Kings Football Club (FC) have arrived in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea (PNG) on Thursday ahead of the second round of the 2026 OFC PRO League starting this weekend.
Solomon Kings remains undefeated after the first leg in Auckland, New Zealand.
The three upcoming matches will be a test for the boys following their impressive performance.
The team will take on Bula FC of Fiji this coming Sunday.
Their second match will be on Wednesday 4th February against South Island United.
And their final match in the second round will be on Saturday 7th February against Auckland FC.
In a statement the Club said, “Solomon Kings First steps in Port Moresby. Big intentions. OFC mode activated.
“The Solomon Kings have arrived in Port Moresby. We wish the team a successful and competitive OFC campaign.”
Solomon Islands High Commissioner to Papua New Guinea (PNG) His Excellency William Soaki in a statement also expressed his support to the team while welcoming the boys.
“Welcome to Port Moresby Solomon Kings FC.”
He also appeals to all Solomon Islands supporters to turn up in numbers to render support for the team in their matches.
“Solomon Islands fans around the city, come out in numbers and let’s support our first-ever professional football club at the Santos Stadium, in the second leg of the OFC Pro League,” he said.
Other teams have also arrived in Port Moresby over the past days.
