The Western Provincial Young Entrepreneurship Council (WYPEC) has acknowledged the Ministry of Commerce, Industry, Labour and Immigration (MCILI) for its support towards the successful delivery of a content creation workshop held recently in the Western Province.
WYPEC is a youth-led organization that aims to empower young people in the province through entrepreneurship, innovation, skills and development that has established few years ago in Gizo Western Province.
The council plays a vital role in promoting self-employment, business awareness, and capacity building among young entrepreneurs, especially in rural and remote communities where access to training opportunities is limited.
Speaking on behalf of the participants, WYPEC Vice Chairman Robson Tuke expressed his sincere appreciation to MCILI and the national Government for recognizing the importance of digital skills and creative industries for young people.
“This workshop has opened our eyes to the opportunities available in content creation and digital media as a source of income and self-employment,” Mr. Tuke said.
“We are grateful to MCILI for supporting initiatives that equip young people with practical skills relevant to today’s economy,” he said
Mr. Tuke also thanked the workshop facilitators, Reveal Pasifik and Reggae Haus, for their commitment and expertise in delivering the training.
“We acknowledge Reveal Pasifik and Reggae Haus for taking their time to share their knowledge and experience with our young people,” he said.

“Their practical approach made it easier for participants to understand content creation, storytelling, and the use of digital platforms.”
He added that the training had inspired many participants to explore creative business ideas using social media, photography, video production, and online marketing.
“The workshop has encouraged us to think creatively and confidently about turning our talents into business opportunities,” Tuke said.
“This is especially important for young people who may not have formal employment but have skills that can generate income.”
Mr. Tuke further stated that WYPEC looks forward to continued collaboration with MCILI and other stakeholders to deliver more capacity-building programs in the province.
“We hope this partnership will continue so that more young people can benefit from similar trainings in the future,” he said.
“Empowering youth through entrepreneurship is key to sustainable development in the Western Province,” he added.
The content creation workshop forms part of ongoing efforts to strengthen youth participation in small business development and the growing digital economy.
The workshop training is facilitated by the E-Commerce and implemented under MCILI.
