The North Malaita Constituency (NMC) has delivered its contribution to support Afufu Community High School (CHS) under the Australia Community Partnership Grant Project.
In line with its commitment to strengthening education infrastructure in North Malaita, NMC has provided the following support to the school:
– SBD $10,000 in cash towards labour costs
– 20 bags of cement
– 10 steel rods
– A Starlink kit to improve internet and communication access at the school.
This support highlights the constituency’s ongoing partnership with Afufu Community High School and the local community, aiming to enhance learning facilities and expand digital connectivity for students.
Hon. Daniel Waneoroa, Member of Parliament (MP) for North Malaita Constituency, acknowledged the school leaders and project committee for their dedication and transparency in implementing the project.
He commended their leadership in ensuring that the generous support from the people of Australia is effectively utilized for the benefit of students and the wider Afufu community.
Hon. Waneoroa also expressed sincere appreciation to the Australian Government for its continuous support of community and constituency infrastructure development in North Malaita.
He highlighted that such partnerships are vital in improving education services and promoting rural development across the constituency.
The North Malaita Constituency remains committed to working closely with development partners, communities, and institutions to enhance education standards and infrastructure for future generations.
The project is expected to benefit more than 150 households within the school’s catchment area in Ward 8 of the constituency.
