Member of Parliament (MP) Malaita Outer Islands (MOI) Constituency, Hon. Polycarp Paea, has successfully completed a tour of his constituency, reaffirming his commitment to serving the people.
He spent nearly two months at his constituency.
During the visit, he travelled to the three main communities of Sikaiana, Pelau, and Luaniua, where he met with residents, community leaders, church representatives, women’s groups, and youths.
The tour allowed the MP to engage directly with the people who entrusted him with leadership and to better understand the challenges they face.
According to a statement from the constituency office, the visit provided Hon. Paea with an opportunity to observe developments firsthand and assess the progress of ongoing projects.
The statement said reconnecting with communities on the ground strengthens his perspective and sharpens his development priorities.
“Hon. Polycarp Paea has returned from an extended two-month period in the constituency after spending time across the Luaniua and Pelau communities.
He arrived back in Honiara at the end of February after sharing the festive season with families and local leaders,” the statement said.
The office added that the MP returned refreshed and encouraged by the resilience and unity of the people.
He is optimistic about the work ahead and remains committed to improving essential services, infrastructure, and livelihood opportunities.
The focus now shifts to advancing key development discussions in Honiara and ensuring that the constituency’s priorities continue to be clearly represented at the national level.
