Hekari United FC of Papua New Guinea (PNG) is the first team to arrive in Honiara ahead of the OFC Pro League Round 4 circuit, which kicks off this Saturday.
The team, led by Solomon Islands duo, head coach Jerry Allen and his younger brother Jerry Sam, who serves as assistant coach, touched down on Tuesday afternoon at Henderson International Airport.
“This is a really open league and being at the bottom of the standings has really motivated us to work hard and climb our way up the ladder,” Allen said.
Hekari United will begin their Round 4 campaign on Saturday at 3pm against South Island United at the National Stadium.
The remaining teams; South Island United, Tahiti United, South Melbourne FC, Auckland FC, Bula FC and Vanuatu United will arrive on Wednesday afternoon.
The official pre-Round 4 Media Conference for all the teams will take place at the National Stadium at 9-30am on Friday 13 March.
