The Auki Capital League 2026 is set to kick off with a pre-season competition for newly interested teams, scheduled for 2 May 2026.
All new teams are required to submit a letter of interest to the Malaita Football Association (MMFA) prior to the pre-season date.
Additionally, teams must settle any outstanding registration fees from the previous season before they will be permitted to participate in the 2026 league.
Meanwhile, the Malaita Women Capital League 2026 is proposed to commence on 28 May 2026.
The Auki football ague Local Organizing Committee has called on all new and existing teams, both men’s and women’s, to attend a Technical Meeting on 25 April 2026.
Attendance is considered essential for all participating teams as key information regarding the upcoming season will be discussed.
In preparation for the new season, Ward 4 Football Club, who claimed the league title last year, has already begun training earlier this month.
Ward 4 FC head coach Morrie Akao confirmed to this paper that the club has started its preparations ahead of the competition.
“Yes, the team management is now actively working on preparations for the upcoming league season,” he said.
