Two bridges in South Road will be officially opened on Wednesday

Two bridges along the North Road in Malaita, Kolofe 1 and Kolofe 2 will be officially opened on Tuesday 31st March.
Prime Minister (PM) Jeremiah Manele, key government officials and development partner representatives from Honiara and Malaita Province will officiate to unveil these climate-resilient structures.
The delegation travelled onboard a patrol boat to Malu’u.
These bridges will ensure safer travel, connect families, and open up new economic opportunities for our communities of North Malaita constituency, Lau Mbaelelea and far as Baegu region.

– A Shared Success: Proudly funded by the World Bank under the Second Solomon Islands Roads and Aviation Project (SIRAP II) in partnership with the Ministry of Infrastructure Development.
The next opening and handing over is set for Wednesday for Su’u and Bira bridge along Malaita’s South Road (West Kwaio).
