The Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) is urging all citizens of Solomon Islands to celebrate the Easter period peacefully, responsibly, and with care and with consideration for the safety of others.
As a Christian nation, Easter is observed as an important time for prayer, reflection, and family gatherings. The RSIPF encourages everyone to uphold the true spirit of Easter by showing respect, patience, and kindness within families and communities and on the roads.
The RSIPF will maintain high visibility and conduct regular patrols throughout the Easter period to ensure public safety and maintain law and order.
Acting Commissioner Mr. Mathias Lenialu calls on all citizens to celebrate Easter in a meaningful and peaceful manner and to avoid behavior that may lead to violence, disturbances, or harm to others.
Commissioner Lenialu said, “Let us all work together to ensure this Easter is a time of peace, unity, and safety for everyone in the Solomon Islands.”
RSIPF also reminds business operators to comply with licensing conditions and operating hours and urges the communities to work together to keep Easter celebrations safe.
RSIPF encourages the public to report any suspicious activities or incidents to the nearest police station or by calling Central Police Station 22999, Naha Police Station 39608, White River Police Station 21363, China Town Police Post 28999, or Henderson Police Station 36200.
