The National Government through the Ministry of Culture and Tourism has announced a valuable partnership with Fiji’s Hideaway Holidays, in collaboration with Tourism Solomon, to provide internship opportunities for Solomon Islands students currently studying tourism and related fields in Fiji.
This initiative specifically targets Solomon Islands students enrolled at the University of the South Pacific (USP) and the Fiji National University (FNU), offering them a unique opportunity to gain hands-on industry experience within a well-established tourism and travel company.
The internship program, with a duration of two months, will allow students to actively engage in key areas such as tourism marketing and promotion, development of holiday packages, campaign awareness, and content creation. Through this practical exposure, students will contribute to promoting the Solomon Islands as a premier holiday destination while building their professional skills.
The Ministry of Culture and Tourism expresses its sincere appreciation to Hideaway Holidays for extending this opportunity to Solomon Islands students. This partnership reflects a shared commitment to developing human capacity within the tourism sector and ensuring that young Solomon Islanders are equipped with the necessary knowledge, skills, and experience to contribute meaningfully to the growth of the industry.
This initiative also aligns with the Government’s broader vision to strengthen the tourism workforce, improve service standards, and support the long-term development of the sector as a key driver of economic growth.
The Ministry encourages eligible students studying in Fiji to take advantage of this opportunity and apply before the closing date.
