Four major community infrastructure projects funded under the Provincial Capacity Development Fund (PCDF) are set for handover in Western Province.
The Western Provincial Government (WPG) confirmed that the handover programme will take place on Monday April 20 marking another milestone in efforts to improve service delivery and infrastructure development across the province.
Among the key projects is the Seghe Administration Office in Ward 22, Nono, Marovo Constituency, which is expected to bring essential government services closer to remote communities in the Marovo Lagoon.
In North Kolombangara, Ward 26, the Kukudu Suspension Bridge will also be handed over.
The bridge is expected to improve safe access for residents, particularly school children and surrounding communities.

Meanwhile, in Gizo Kolombangara Constituency, two major facilities will be officially handed over the Gizo Youth Centre and the Gizo Market Jetty, both located in Ward 11.
The Youth Centre will provide a dedicated space for youth development activities, while the market jetty is expected to enhance local trade by improving transport access for vendors and rural suppliers.
However, WPG noted that similar PCDF handover programmes planned for Choiseul Province have been postponed due to the aftermath of Cyclone Maila.
A new date will be announced once arrangements are finalised.
The upcoming handovers highlight the continued role of PCDF in supporting provincial governments to deliver infrastructure that meets the needs of communities.
Since its establishment in 2009 under the Provincial Government Strengthening Programme (PGSP), the PCDF has funded more than 1,600 infrastructure projects across the country, contributing to improved governance and service delivery at the provincial level.
