The organizing committee for the Miss Pacific Islands Pageant (MPIP) 2025 is making significant strides in preparation for this highly anticipated event,
which officially kicks off this weekend.
The opening ceremony will commence on Saturday February 1st in Honiara.
In a productive meeting held recently, Operations Manager Ms. Jess Konofilia and members of the organizing committee met with key authorities overseeing airport operations to finalize plans for the arrival of the contestants and their delegations. The meeting included representatives from SIACAL, Customs and Immigration, Biosecurity, and Solomon Airlines, all of whom have pledged their full support for the event.
The discussions focused on ensuring a seamless arrival process during the designated arrival period from January 29th to 31st.
This includes efficient immigration clearance, biosecurity protocols, and smooth transit logistics. The collaborative effort aims to guarantee a warm and hassle-free welcome for the contestants and their teams as they touch down in the Solomon Islands.
“We are incredibly grateful for the support of SIACAL, Customs and Immigration,
Biosecurity, and Solomon Airlines.
“Their willingness to work alongside us shows the true spirit of partnership, and we’re confident this collaboration will set the tone for a successful event,” said Ms. Jess Konofilia.
With this strong partnership in place, the organizing committee is optimistic that every
guest, from contestants to delegations, will feel the warmth and hospitality of the Solomon
Islands upon their arrival.
The Miss Pacific Islands Pageant 2025 is set to be a spectacular celebration, with the theme “Leadership in Diversity and Adversity” guiding the event. Key highlights include the pre-pageant interview/Speech on February 6th, the Float Parade on February 7th, and the grand crowning ceremony on February 8th.
Honiara is ready to shine, and the organizing committee is thrilled to welcome our Pacific
neighbours and celebrate the unique beauty, leadership, and culture of the region.
